Namaste!

Hey all. Many of you know me, some of you don't, but we're all here for one reason: we love the show Lost. (Either that or you were misdirected and are trying to leave as quickly as possible before you get sucked in...) Anyway...

The purpose of this blog is that as I go through all 5 brain-twisting seasons again, I have a place to write, organize, prove, and post my thoughts about Lost, and hear any fellow Lostie's thoughts on my thoughts.

I do have a couple requests:

1. Keep it appropriate. I will not tolerate obscene language of any sort. Along with this, please be respectful of other opinions, ideas, beliefs and theories, and post accordingly. Also, please try not to go off on tangents for no apparent reason (at least, not for too long...). I will remove any comments that I find inappropriate.

2. Please, please only follow this blog up to the point you've watched the show. I will include in post titles the season and episode on which I am posting. If the posts reach the point to which you have watched the show, please hold off on reading until you have seen the episode.

3. Have fun! hang out, discuss Lost, meet at Dunn bros, watch BalloonShop videos, watch flashing lights, swing dance. (all things us Losties here in Smalltown, US do.)

Also, if you are interested, a bunch of us have started a forum just for Lost. It can be found here. Enjoy!

God Bless and Namaste!

'ABC House' with Charlie Pace

So as many of you know, our dear Charlie Pace seemingly died back a few seasons ago. There has been much debate as to weather or not Dominic Monaghan would return.

In the meantime, ABC has released several promo videos featuring the 'ABC House' where characters all over the station reside. In a new release, We find Dominic Monaghan playing fooseball with several others. And he says something very ominous.

Tabula Rasa (Se1, Ep1)

STORYLINE

The survivors who hear the 16 year old distress call decided not to tell the rest of the survivors, trying to keep a panic from occurring. Meanwhile, the US Marshall is slowly dying, and people are wondering if he should be put out of his misery. Sawyer and Kate decide to, but Sawyer misses- and the Marshall's lung slowly fills with blood.

CHARACTERS

  • KATE AUSTEN: We find that Kate worked on a farm in Australia after the farmer found her sleeping in his sheep pen. When she decides to leave three months later, Ray the farmer decides to turn her in for the $23,000 reward. She crashes the car Ray is driving, then after pulling him to safety, tries to escape, but the Marshall catches her.
  • SAYID JARRAH: Sayid seems to gain stature as a leader as he sets up groups to gather water, food, and electronic equipment.
  • JACK SHEPHERD: Jack is completely against putting the Marshall out of his misery, and is just about ready to kill Sawyer after he shoots the Marshall.
  • JAMES SAWYER: Sawyer shows more of his vulgar side as he loots from the dead inside the fuselage, and tries to kill the dying Marshall but misses.
  • CHARLIE PACE: Charlie begins to make friends as he talks with Claire.
  • JIN KWON: Jin shows his softer side as he tells Sun to go wash up and actually says 'I love you'.
  • US MARSHALL: Still has some strength as he wakes up as Kate is watching him and tries to choke her to death. The problem is, he's slowly dying. And everyone throughout the camp can hear it.
  • WALT LLOYD: Walt tells Michael Locke's secret: before the crash, he couldn't walk. Or at least, that's what he says. Michael tells Walt that he doesn't want him hanging around Locke.
  • MICHAEL DAWSON: Michael tries to grow closer to Walt as he promises to find his dog.
  • JOHN LOCKE: Carves a dog whistle, but after finding Vincent, tells Michael where he is so that he can 'find' him, drawing him closer to Walt.

UNSOLVED MYSTERIES

  • What is the monster?
  • Why are there polar bears (or at least, a polar bear) on the island?
  • What did Kate do to be arrested?

Pilot (Season 1, Ep 0)

STORYLINE

40+ survivors have crash landed on a mysterious island in the Pacific Ocean, 1,000 miles off course. An unknown monster is present, large enough to rip down trees and yank pilots out of planes. Rain comes and goes literally in an instant, and Arctic polar bears run throughout the jungle. And things only get weirder. When trying to use a radio to send out a distress call, several survivors receive a distress call- one in French that has been playing for 16 years! When translated, it says,

"Please help me, please come get me. I'm alone now, on the island alone. Please someone come. The others, they're, they're dead. It killed them. It killed them all."

CHARACTERS

~JACK SHEPHERD: Late 20s; A spinal surgeon concerned with people's well being. A natural leader and takes a unspoken leadership role among the survivors. By the end of the episode, he's trying to save the US MARSHALL as he has a piece of shrapnel in his side.
~CLAIR LITTLETON: Young women (early twenties, maybe?) 8 month pregnant. Pretty sure her baby is a boy.
~JOHN LOCKE (Bald guy): Kind of an eerie, older fellow. Doesn't seem to talk much. Likes backgammon and seems to be very happy for someone who just crashed on an island. Even enjoys being on the island, almost. Has a secret that he tells WALT LLOYD, but we have no idea what it is- Yet.
~BOONE CARLYLE: young man (20s) who is concerned about his sister SHANNON RUTHERFORD and seems to want to help out where he can. Apparently a former lifeguard, although not a very good one.
~HURLEY REYES: caring, lovable, a bit carefree. Doesn't like to eat sea urchins and faints at the site of blood.
~KATE AUSTEN: Young woman, mid 20s, almost 'assistant leader' to Jack. Turns out that's shes a criminal being brought back to the United States by a US MARSHALL. On what charges, we don't know.
~SAYID JARRAH: Middle Eastern, probably mid-30s. fought with the Republican Guard in the Gulf War. Communications specialist. Believes JAMES SAWYER to be the prisoner of the US MARSHALL.
~CHARLIE PACE: Young man in his twenties. Bassist for the band Driveshaft. Addicted to heroin.
~SHANNON RUTHERFORD: Young twenty-something blond who thinks she's the center of the known universe. She spends her time after the crash sunbathing and painting her toenails and insisting that the rescue boat is coming. We see moments of venerability as she is chased by a polar bear or sees someone in the wreckage she talked to.
~MICHAEL DAWSON: Father to WALT LLOYD, although seemingly distant since Walt says he has been living with his mom. Trying to strengthen the relationship, and it seems to be working- painstakingly slowly.
~JIN KWON (Korean dude): Controlling; tells SUN KWON (currently unknown relationship) she must always stay by him and ignore the others. Seems good at preparing sea urchins to eat.
~WALT LLOYD: Son of MICHAEL DAWSON. Seems concerned with his dog, VINCENT. Seems intrigued by JOHN LOCKE.
~FLIGHT ATTENDANT: We only see her in flashbacks to before the crash. But who knows? She might have survived...
~ROSE HENDERSON: Elderly woman, maybe 50s or 60s. From the Bronx. Revived by Jack after the crash. Finds the distant sound of the monster familiar. Seems sad about someone (it's suggested it's her husband as she fingers a ring and then puts it on a necklace.) possibly in the crash.
~PILOT: Pilot of the plane. Gets killed by the monster. That was a short contract.....
~SUN KWON: Related to JIN KWON. seems defiant, annoyed at JIN's control.
~JAMES SAWYER: Man in his late twenties. Likes smoking. A real charmer, as he gets on almost everyone's nerves. Has a note in his pocket that seems to sober him up whenever he reads it. Thinks SAYID JARRAH is the prisoner of the US MARSHALL.
~US MARSHALL: Middle-aged Jerk. We find that it was not Sayid nor Sawyer he was bringing back to the US- it was KATE AUSTEN. Wakes up in the middle of Jack surgery and hisses in his ear: "Where is she?".

MYSTERIES

~What is the monster?
~Why does Rose think the monster sounds familiar?
~Why are there polar bears (or at least, a polar bear) on the island?
~What did Kate do to be arrested?
MEMORABLE QUOTES

Hurley (looking nervously at Walt): Do you think we should do something about the b-o-d-y-s?
Michael: What are you spelling, man? Bodies?
Walt: B-o-d-i-e-s.

Locke (Talking to Walt about backgammon): Two players. Two sides. One is light, one is dark.
NOTICEABLES
~When Jack, Kate, and Charlie find the pilot dead in the tree, it seems only his face has been removed- the rest of the body seems unharmed.
